Jen Lewin is a middle school teacher in the Chicago Public Schools at John C. Coonley Elementary. Ms. Lewin has a Bachelors of Science in Biology from Loyola University Chicago and a Masters of Education from DePaul University Chicago.
Ms. Lewin has partnered with many educational leadership programs in order to educate herself and share knowledge with others. She was awarded a National Science Teacher’s Association New Science Teacher Fellowship, a scholarship through Honeywell for the Educator at Space Camp Program, and has presented at multiple educator conferences including NSTA and the National Institute of Health. She is currently working with Michigan State University in partnership with the technology company Wipro to complete a STEM Leadership fellowship and was awarded a scholarship from the University of Illinois at Chicago for the Math and Science Teachers of English Learners program.
She has a passion for the outdoors and strives to teach students about the natural world and how humans fit into the big picture.
