It is my pleasure to greet you from the beautiful Eastern Shore of Maryland. I live in Berlin, close to Ocean City and the most amazing National Seashores—Assateague and Chincoteague Islands. I teach sixth grade in Somerset County on the Chesapeake Bay—the blue crab capitol of the world.
I am positively thrilled and honored to be working with everyone with the GPM program, and I am excited to see what amazing opportunities are ahead to bring the concepts and information from the mission to educators, students, and to our communities.
Through professional development opportunities with organizations such as, NOAA, NASA, and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, the curriculum in our area has become more authentic, data driven, and action oriented. Earth and environmental science are both passions of mine, and I hope that as an educator I can help to inspire colleagues and the next generation to make crucial critical decisions to protect and preserve our planet."
