"My name is Cindy Lippencott, and I am a Gifted and Talented Resource Teacher in Harford County, primarily working with 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. I work at two schools: Emmorton and Magnolia Elementary. I have a Master's degree in Reading Education, am National Board Certified in Language and Literacy and am certified in Gifted and Talented Education.
I became interested in science and the environment after completing Green School applications for both schools. Also, I had the privilege of attending the Summer Watershed Institute at NASA Goddard this year where I learned about the GLOBE program and NASA-sponsored initiatives. I find that science is an area that excites and unites students as they are able to learn about their world in an authentic, hands-on manner. I would like to increase my background knowledge in science, implement GLOBE initiatives and work towards providing lessons that are cross-curricular.
I have two grown daughters and a snoodle named Sam. When I’m not working on lessons or hanging out with family, I can be found reading, at spin class or walking the Ma and Pa trail."
