"I am teacher at a public school of Rio de Janeiro City Hall. I teach Sciences for Middle School and Biology for High School.
I organize environmental projects and classes. I like to teach and be involved in different educational projects. I am postgraduate in Environmental Management and my graduation was focused in Zoology (Herpetology research).
It is an honor to be a part of the GPM Master Teacher.
Rio de Janeiro City has the largest urban forest in the world, which gives Rio the feel of city that has managed to coexist with nature like none other on the planet. But things were not always so harmonious. In fact, there was once a time where these hills were stripped bare, deforested to make room for plantations. This is an example of reforestation that begun at XIX century due a water scarcity.
The GPM Master Teacher provides an excellent opportunity to share experiences and learn from teachers of many countries.
In my free time, I usually read books and magazines, visit art galleries and parks, go to the movies and meet my friends and my family. I also love to travel with my husband to ecological regions in Brazil and other countries."
